What counts as a page --------------------- Three rules, and the count is on the file before anything is analysed. A page is counted once, when the file first enters the case; opening, searching and quoting it afterwards cost nothing. A PDF OR A SCAN One page of the file is one page. A 40-page pleading is 40 pages; a stamped one-page receipt is one. E-MAIL, WORD, TEXT About 400 words make a page. A short message is one page, however long the thread it sits in.
